Are you a facial plastic surgery specialist?

Dr. Clevens brings fifteen years of experience concentrating solely on facial plastic and reconstructive surgery of the eyelids, nose, face and neck. Dr. Clevens is a highly specialized, fellowship-trained, and double board certified facial plastic surgeon. He has over 15 years of experience with modern techniques of cosmetic facial plastic surgery, including eyelid and facial rejuvenation, rhinoplasty, and laser surgery. He is the only fellowship-trained facial plastic surgeon in Brevard County and in all of East Coast Central Florida from Vero Beach to Daytona and the Palm Coast and to Orlando.

Dr. Clevens is 'double' board certified. Dr. Clevens is certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ABFPRS) and by the American Board of Head and Neck Surgery. The ABFPRS is a nationally recognized certifying board for surgeons specializing in plastic surgery of the face and neck. In Dr. Clevens, you have found a "board certified facial plastic surgeon." As a leader in facial plastic surgery, Dr. Clevens serves on the committee that writes and administers the facial plastic surgery board examination. Where did you complete your training?

Dr. Clevens graduated summa cum laude from Yale University and magna cum laude from Harvard Medical School. Dr. Clevens completed both his residency in head and neck surgery and an advanced fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Michigan. During medical school, Dr. Clevens also earned a degree in management from Harvard.Dr. Clevens is the only fellowship-trained facial plastic surgeon in Brevard County and in all of East Coast Central Florida from Vero Beach to Daytona and the Palm Coast and to Orlando.

Are you at the national forefront of your field?

Dr. Clevens is President of the Florida Society of Facial Plastic Surgery. He has been the course director of the national "Aging Face" course presented by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS). Dr. Clevens is widely published with numerous journal articles, book chapters, lectures to national audiences and television appearances. Dr. Clevens is also active on national steering committees guiding both the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ABFPRS).

How may facial plastic surgery cases have you performed and how many do you perform each year?

Dr. Clevens is a specialist limiting his practice 100% to the eyelids, nose, face and neck. He has performed over 10,000 operations in the face, eyes, head and neck and performs about one thousand such procedures each and every year. How can I tell what I will look like after surgery?

Dr. Clevens offers state of the art computer video imaging that might help you visualize your post-surgery results.

Where will the surgery be performed?

Dr. Clevens performs all of his procedures in a private, fully accredited and sophisticated outpatient surgery center. The center is staffed by board certified physician anesthesiologists. Each surgery center is state licensed and accredited by JCAHO or AAAHC, the most stringent organizations that certify outpatient surgical facilities. Dr. Clevens also has full privileges at area hospitals and surgery centers; he will help you select the place that is most appropriate for you.
