After the loss of my husband I didn't like what I saw in the mirror anymore – his passing had taken years off my face. So I chose to begin my life again with a brand new face. I knew from my first visit with Dr. Clevens and his staff that I was in good hands. And as time went on, Dr. Clevens' knowledge and warm, sincere personality convinced me I was doing the right thing. Your Eyes Tell It All

Is the skin around your eyes sagging or showing wrinkles? Perhaps friends and coworkers are commenting on how tired you always look. After careful evaluation, Dr. Clevens will discuss you optimal plan for a natural, rejuvenated and revitalized you.

Eyelid surgery, or blepharoplasty, can be performed on upper eyelids, lower eyelids, or both. Dr. Clevens is uniquely qualified to perform this procedure, as he is trained in and performs cosmetic surgery only on the face, head and neck. Dr. Clevens is Brevard's only fellowship trained and board certified facial plastic surgeon.

Upper eyelid surgery reduces the excess skin to create a younger, more wide-eyed appearance. Dr. Clevens follows the natural lines and creases of the eyelid to hide the incision line.

Most people seek lower eyelid surgery to reduce the bags under their eyes. Dr. Clevens performs "transconjunctival" blepharoplasty, which involves making incisions from the inside of the lower lid to remove excess fat. The incisions are invisible since they are performed from the inside.

Eyelid surgery does not eradicate the crows feet, or wrinkling around the side of the eyes, nor will this procedure eliminate the dark circles under your eyes. However, there are procedures that may be performed in conjunction with blepharoplasty to address these concerns, so be sure to discuss your needs with Dr. Clevens and his staff at The Center for Facial Cosmetic Surgery. Trust Your Face to the Specialist.
