Q: How Do I Get Rid of This Forehead Scar?

Can anybody give me some answers on how to get rid of this forehead scar?  It gets really shiny in some lighting and in some lighting its ok and when I make different facial expressions it raises. When people talk to me they don't even look me in the eyes they just stare at it and talk I hate it. Can Someone please give me some advice on this???

A: Artisan Laser is a GREAT option for Scar Revisions

The treatment of scars can be challenging.  Laser scar removal may be a good alternative for you.

A newer device on the market by Palomar called the Artisan laser, offers a noninvasive solution that uses fractional laser technology to deliver rapid, reliable scar removal with less risk, less pain and minimal downtime.

The Artisan's fractional laser technology is used for acne and surgical scar removal procedure. It uses pulses of laser light to coagulate scar tissue and trigger healthy new tissue to form in patients' skin. Healing time is minimal, infection risk is eliminated and little to no pain is felt.

Laser scar removal with Palomar's Artisan is appropriate for use on all skin types, making it my preferred method of scar removal for excellent clinical outcomes.

This is how it works:

•Laser scar removal uses fractional laser light to create micro-columns of coagulated tissue that extend deep into the dermis without ablating the epidermis.
•This triggers a wound-healing process that replaces the disorganized, compacted scar tissue with healthy new tissue, greatly diminishing the appearance of the scar tissue. Advanced Contact Cooling protects the epidermis, promoting safer, more comfortable treatments.

I would certainly have you consider laser scar removal/revision.

Q: What Treatments Exist to Make Stretch Marks Less Noticeable?

Having olive skin, i don't notice when they appear because they don't come pink as i've seen in other peoples pictures, and so when i tan ,i see this white wrinkled lines through my body. I have mostly on the end of my back, breasts, hips and inner thighs.

A: Artisan 1540 to treat strech marks on darker skin

In my pratice, we utilize the Artisan 1540™: Fractional non-ablative laser to treat stretch marks that are fully developed and are white or light in color.

Fractional resurfacing is a selective treatment, that leaves the surface of the skin unharmed. Instead, the laser damages tiny columns of skin, creating hundreds of microscopic wounds that boost collagen production and help the body heal stretch marks.

Fractional non-ablative lasers boast a short recovery time – the skin will just be pink in the treated region for about a week.

Treatment of the lower abdomen takes about an hour and half, but it takes five to six treatments to see results. Sessions should be spaced three to four weeks apart.Fractional lasers cannot remove stretch marks completely. After six treatments, the stretch marks should fade by about 50%.

Please call our office at 321.727.3223 to schedule your appointment and see if you are a good candidate for Artisan Skin Resurfacing.

Q: Which Laser works better for improving the appearance of Stretch Marks? I have some stretch marks on my hips and thighs. They are not too deep and somewhat lighter than my skin. I have been to two places, one of which offers to treat me with 3 treatments of Erbium and Yag-Ktp as well as CIT (collagen induction therapy I think) The other place offers to treat me with Amaris. Which one of these laser works better for improving the appearance of stretch marks? Do they even work at all?
