With over a decade of surgical training and more than 1200 surgical cases performed during his plastic surgery residency, Andrew McGregor, MD specializes in plastic and reconstructive surgery with an emphasis on cosmetic surgery of the breast and body. His practice is focused exclusively on body contouring and breast enhancement procedures such as breast augmentation, breast lift, and breast implant exchange, as well as Mommy Makeovers. Dr. McGregor is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery.

Dr. McGregor dedicates himself to exceptional patient care, and he is especially passionate about performing body shaping procedures to help men and women feel their most confident. He specializes in abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), as well as arm lift and thigh lift. He also has a strong interest in revision surgery, helping patients who may be unhappy with prior results get the look they really want. Dr. McGregor is known for listening carefully to each patient’s goals and designing a personalized treatment plan to achieve the best possible result. His signature approach to liposuction is known as “Liponique.” Because every body is unique, every patient’s treatment plan is completely customized for optimal outcomes.

After being awarded his undergraduate degree cum laude at the University of Florida, Dr. McGregor earned his MD degree at Ross University, graduating with highest honors. Following medical school, Dr. McGregor completed two surgical residencies, both in general surgery at Danbury Hospital and in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Nassau University Medical Center/Stony Brook University and Long Island Plastic Surgery Group. During his surgical residency at Danbury Hospital in Connecticut, Dr. McGregor was twice honored as Distinguished Resident of the Year. Dr. McGregor’s work experience includes serving as a research associate at Yale University’s Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Dr. McGregor is a frequently invited speaker at national conferences where he shares research related to his work. Additionally, he has authored more than a dozen journal articles in publications including Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Global Open.

“My philosophy about approaching the plastic surgical patient includes listening to their concerns, and coming up with procedures that will rejuvenate their self-confidence,” says Dr. McGregor. “I take a patient-centered approach to provide comprehensive care for all my patients.”

On his personal time, Dr. McGregor enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, playing the piano, and running.

Dr. McGregor will welcome new patients to his practice starting in July 2022.
