Symptoms of a Deviated Nasal Septum

If you believe you are suffering from a deviated nasal septum then you might want to consider Rhinoplasty in Melbourne, Florida.

A deviated septum occurs when the thin wall (nasal septum) between your nostrils is displaced to one side. Your septum separates your right and left nasal cavities and ideally is situated in the center of your nose, equally separating the two sides. However, in many people, the nasal septum is displaced, making one nasal passage smaller.

The most common symptom is nasal obstruction or stuffy nasal breathing. Other signs include nosebleeds, congestion, sinusitis, snoring, headache and mouth breathing. There are a number of medical and surgical treatments that can aid this concern. These include antihistamines, decongestants, topical nasal steroid sprays, topical nasal antihistamine sprays, allergy shots in some patients and, finally, surgery for those who fail medical treatment or who do not want to use medications for many years.

If you find yourself with any of the aforementioned symptoms, then do not hesitate to contact our office to see what Dr. Clevens can do for you. A deviated septum can be fixed so you don’t have to deal with the problems it brings about.

If you are considering cosmetic surgery in Central Florida, call our office at 321.727.3223 to schedule an appointment. We would love to meet with you and discuss the best treatment options available to you.
