Mohs Surgery

Mohs Surgery with Ross A. Clevens, MD, FACS
at The Center for Facial Cosmetic Surgery

When choosing a surgeon to perform your Mohs surgery, trust your face to the specialist, Dr. Ross A. Clevens who is uniquely trained and expertly qualified to perform the Mohs Surgery. Dr. Ross A. Clevens performs about 200 MOHS cases each and every year. As a Board Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Clevens understands the importance of removing a cancerous tumor while maintaining both the integrity and cosmetic appearance of healthy tissue and skin.

About the Mohs Surgery

With the Mohs Surgery, Dr. Ross A. Clevens provides the most precise method for removal of the cancerous tissue, while sparing the greatest amount of healthy tissue. For this reason, the Mohs surgery may result in a significantly smaller surgical defect and less noticeable scarring, as compared to other methods of skin cancer treatment. Dr. Ross A. Clevens may recommend the Mohs Surgery for the removal of skin cancer in areas where maximum preservation of healthy tissue is desirable for cosmetic and functional purposes, such as the face. Dr. Ross A. Clevens may also recommend the Mohs Surgery for lesions that have recurred following prior treatment, or for lesions which have the greatest likelihood of recurrence.

During your consultation with Dr. Ross A. Clevens, he can assess whether the Mohs Surgery is the most appropriate treatment option for your particular diagnosis. Dr. Ross A. Clevens will address your specific questions, ensuring that you are well prepared for the procedure. If it is determined that Mohs Surgery is not the best option for you, Dr. Ross A. Clevens will be able to recommend appropriate alternative therapies.
