Nasal Contouring Surgery in Florida

Rhinoplasty or plastic surgery of the nose (nose job) is one of the most commonly performed procedures in facial plastic surgery. The term "rhinoplasty" blends the words "rhino" (nose) with "plasty" (to mold or to shape). Though Dr. Clevens' main office is located in Central Florida, his attention to detail and dedication to aesthetics brings patients from all over Florida, and the United States.

Dr. Clevens is a Specialist in Revision Rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty is by far the most artistic and technically demanding procedure in facial plastic surgery.  It is often improperly performed by inexperienced surgeons.  Dr. Clevens believes that the goal of rhinoplasty should be a nose that looks and feels natural and is in harmony with the rest of the face without having an "operated upon" appearance.  As an experienced facial plastic surgeon, Dr. Clevens is often called upon to perform revision or corrective secondary rhinoplasty to correct the work of others.

What may be helped by rhinoplasty?

  • Nasal appearance
  • Nasal contour
  • Nasal profile
  • Nasal breathing and sinus function

Half a million Americans interested in improving their nasal contour seek consultation with a facial plastic surgeon each year.

Many of our rhinoplasty patients are unhappy with the noses they were born and others simply want to improve their overall appearance.

For others, a traumatic injury may have distorted their nose and for some the goal may be improved breathing. Perhaps nothing has a greater impact on how a person looks than the size and shape of their nose.

The nose is your most defining facial characteristic and a slight alteration in the contour of your nose may greatly improve your appearance. Following nasal contouring the nose has an improved aesthetic appearance as it blends into the face.

Septorhinoplasty (Septoplasty) in Melbourne and Merritt Island

A nose job is also sometimes called septorhinoplasty, or septoplasty, when it refers to a surgery that addresses both cosmetic refinement and a deviated septum.  In performing septorhinoplasty, Dr. Clevens strives to create a more harmonious and balanced facial appearance while maintaining or improving your breathing and sinus function.

An important part of the evaluation of your face and nose includes the shape and prominence of your chin. People who want surgery to contour their nose may be surprised to learn that the appearance and shape of your chin plays an important role in the overall balance of your facial appearance. A "weak" or short chin may make your nose appear more prominent.

Seeing is believing: Using Technology to Predict Rhinoplasty Results

Dr. Clevens offers computerized preview imaging that may help you to visualize your improved facial and nasal appearance with septorhinoplasty surgery.
