According to the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS), there has been a 60 percent increase in the number of women undergoing cosmetic procedures since 2000. Some more interesting statistics include:

· The most popular procedure for women was lip augmentation, with fat injections coming in second and microdermabrasion third.

· Botox has continued to gain popularity with a 162 percent increase since 2001.

· Forty-one percent of surgeons reported an increase in the number of teens undergoing facial plastic surgery.

· Doctors have also reported an increase in couples getting facial plastic surgery together.
