What Is A Laser-Assisted Weekend Neck Lift™?

Dr. Clevens is a specialist in facial plastic surgery, and he created the Laser-Assisted Weekend Neck Lift to improve the neck and jawline contours with a fast recovery time. The Laser-Assisted Weekend Neck Lift tightens the neckline and smooths wrinkles with minimal incisions and is performed by Dr. Clevens and Renata Khelemsky, MD, who specialize in facial plastic surgery.

Why Dr. Clevens Created the Weekend Neck Lift

Before and after neck lift surgery at Clevens Face and Body Specialists in Orlando, FL

Your Neck Lift Procedure

A neck lift procedure may be performed safely in an operating room or in-office, depending on the type of neck lift and whether you’ll be having other facial plastic surgery procedures at the same time. At our practice, our facial plastic surgery specialists perform the Laser-Assisted Weekend Neck Lift in a fully accredited outpatient surgery center in Melbourne, Florida that meets all the same stringent guidelines for safety as a hospital setting.

We also perform our Signature Profile Neck Lift in-office, on occasion, for the convenience of our patients. Your surgeon will create a zigzag-shaped incision underneath your chin, resembling a natural line in the crease of the neck. Dr. Clevens and Dr. Khelemsky will always work to methodically camouflage the incision based on your anatomy.

Excess fat and skin laxity will be addressed according to your personal goals, while loose neck muscles are tightened to reduce banding. Dissolvable sutures will then be placed to carefully close your incisions. For optimal results, some patients combine a neck lift with a facelift, eyelid surgery, brow lift, and cosmetic laser skin resurfacing.

Recovery After Your Neck Lift

Neck lift recovery depends on the type of neck lift performed, how much fat and skin were removed, and if other procedures were performed during the neck lift. Your neck may feel tight and appear bruised immediately following your surgery. After a neck lift procedure, you will return home the same day as your surgery and will want to rest and take it easy.

Depending on whether you combine your neck lift with other cosmetic surgery procedures, you may be able to return to your ordinary activities in just three to five days.

Although you can return to work and other day-to-day activities in a few days, we recommend giving yourself a week before fully returning to more strenuous activities like exercise. You’ll be offered access to after-surgery care with our team of aestheticians, to ensure that your healing process goes as smoothly as possible.

FAQ About the Neck Lift

Am I the right candidate for a neck lift?

When should I start considering a neck lift?

How much does a neck lift cost?

Am I the right candidate for a neck lift?

An ideal candidate for a neck lift is noticing excess fat, skin, or banding in the neck area, which are common signs of aging. Many patients who are candidates for a neck lift complain of a 'turkey neck' or 'wattle', or may be unsatisfied with the appearance of their profile and would like to make a change.

When should I start considering a neck lift?

While there's no 'right age' to have a neck lift procedure, many patients we see during consultations are in their 50s or 60s. We do also see patients as young as their 40s, as well as patients in their 70s and up who have concerns about the appearance of their neck and want to reverse the common signs of aging for a more youthful contour.

How much does a neck lift cost?

The cost of a neck lift, like other facial plastic surgery procedures, can vary depending on the training and experience of your doctor as well as where the procedure is performed. At our practice in Brevard County, Florida, a neck lift procedure with our experienced facial plastic surgeons costs between $6,000 and $10,000. To learn more and find out if a neck lift can help you achieve your cosmetic goals, schedule your consultation with one of our facial plastic surgery specialists.
