Offering You an Elevated Level of Care

Clevens Face and Body Specialists is a practice that sets itself apart with an elevated level of care, brought to life by a team of truly passionate and dedicated specialists. When he created this practice, our founder and medical director Ross A. The Benefits of NeoGraft “MaxGraft” Hair Restoration

With NeoGraft hair restoration, you can replenish your hair in the areas you want for a natural look that leaves no visible incision lines whatsoever. Whether your hair has begun to thin due to genetics, aging, or other factors, you can correct bald spots and restore your natural hairline with this highly effective treatment.

Traditional transplants tend to remove a strip of tissue from your scalp, often resulting in a long incision line that runs across the back of your head. This line tends to be especially visible if the patient has short hair. NeoGraft individually removes follicles without any incisions, so you can enjoy naturally restored hair and a significantly shorter, more comfortable recovery process.

The Consultation Process

The best way to know if the NeoGraft “Max Graft” hair restoration procedure is right for you is to discuss your desired outcome with Dr. Clevens. Visiting our offices for your consultation gives us the ability to examine the status of your hair and work with you to determine which treatment option will create your most ideal outcome.

Dr. Clevens will help you understand exactly what you can expect from the experience, talking you through the details of the procedure itself and explaining the recovery process to you in detail. Our support team will give you thorough aftercare instructions so you can maintain your results, and will be available to you throughout every stage of your journey with us.

Finally, we’ll give you a quote for your procedure and work with you to explore your financing options. At this point, we’ll be ready to get started scheduling your procedure, along with any pre- and post-procedural appointments that may be necessary, and you’ll be able to start looking forward to your life-affirming results!

Your Hair Restoration Procedure

While traditional hair transplants have a high potential for visible incision lines, long recovery time, and numbness in the scalp, NeoGraft “MaxGraft” hair restoration offers an incision-free treatment option.

The “NeoGraft” restoration process involves removing your individual hair follicles, one by one, until a sufficient amount has been removed for proper restoration. These follicles usually will be taken from the back of the scalp, where hair tends to be more plentiful.

These healthy hair follicles are then transplanted to the front and top of the head. This creates a more natural appearance, as the follicles will produce hair that is similar in color and texture to the rest of your head.

Recovery After Hair Restoration

Most patients return to work the day after their procedure, while others opt to take a few days off of work to begin the healing process. Your grafts will scab over within a few days and may feel slightly raised for a week or two.

As such, you’ll need to treat your scalp gently, protecting it from wind, sun, and excessive physical contact. You can resume most activities, including exercise, in two weeks, and our team will provide you with detailed instructions on how to preserve your results.

We’ll also remain available to you throughout your recovery and aftercare process, to guide your progress and address any concerns. To get started, reach out and set up your initial consultation with a member of our team today.

Enjoying Your Results

Hair grows according to a cycle, and not all hair follicles are active at once. For this reason, the hair will not start growing in the transplanted follicles immediately after your healing process. The existing hair will fall out in about two to three weeks, as the cycle starts over. Then, in about three to four months, new hair will begin emerging in the transplanted follicles and will continue to grow normally after that point.

Hair Restoration FAQs

Will I be under general anesthesia for the procedure?

How is NeoGraft different from other FUE techniques?

When can I exercise after NeoGraft Hair Restoration?

What are the risks of Incisionless Hair Restoration?

How long will my grafts last?

Will a buzz cut make the procedure simpler?

Will I need more than one procedure?

Will it be uncomfortable?

Will I be under general anesthesia for the procedure?

No. The procedure is not as invasive as traditional hair restoration surgery, and a local anesthetic is adequate for patient safety and comfort.

How is NeoGraft different from other FUE techniques?

FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) can be performed manually, but the NeoGraft automated system ensures speed, accuracy, and precision during the procedure. The system also helps to prevent twisting and damage to the grafts as they are extracted.

When can I exercise after NeoGraft Hair Restoration?

Though the NeoGraft procedure is minimally invasive, you will still need to allow your body to recover from the procedure and allow your grafts to heal. You may have additional activity restrictions for the first few weeks, but this information will be provided to you prior to the procedure. Most patients can return to a normal exercise routine about two weeks after surgery.

What are the risks of Incisionless Hair Restoration?

Our NeoGraft Hair Restoration treatment is a very safe surgical procedure, requiring no large incisions or sutures. Complications are rare and may include routine surgical risks like bleeding and infection.

How long will my grafts last?

Grafts are intended to be permanent, although differences in hair loss patterns can still cause future hair loss. It’s important to be realistic about the results that come with the procedure and to discuss all the possibilities with Dr. Clevens before you move forward.

Will a buzz cut make the procedure simpler?

While it does make it easier for our team to extract the follicles, it’s not always necessary to shave all the hair, especially if you usually wear it long. Only the sections that will be transplanted need to be shaved, so be sure to discuss this during your consultation.

Will I need more than one procedure?

It depends. While some of the transplanted hair will remain permanently, hair restoration cannot stop all hair loss. Some patients will need to undergo maintenance and may require further transplantation procedures to continue seeing optimal results. You and Dr. Clevens will discuss the possible need for multiple treatments during your consultation.

Will it be uncomfortable?

During the procedure, your scalp will be anesthetized for both the extraction and placement of the hair follicle grafts. You will not feel discomfort during the procedure, and you will be given medication to control any discomfort you experience during recovery. This is a much more comfortable procedure than the traditional hair transplant surgery, which involves a large incision for graft extraction.
