Why Get Bellafill?

The "Five-Year Filler" delivers long-lasting results.

If you like the results of dermal filler treatment such as Juvederm and Restylane, you’ll LOVE Bellafill! Our practice is pleased to among the first to offer our Brevard County and Central Florida patients this FDA-approved treatment that’s known for achieving semi-permanent outcomes that rejuvenate the face with beautiful, natural-looking results.

These days, many patients are seeking to restore their youthful appearance by reducing smile lines around the mouth. Over the years, we commonly lose volume in our face, which increases the appearance of wrinkles and folds and creates sunken, sagging cheeks. And while some treatments do offer a temporary solution, most patients prefer a more long-lasting result. If you share this common cosmetic goal, our Bellafill treatment might be perfect for you.

Watch as Dr. Clevens explains what Bellafill can do for you.

Do I Need Bellafill?

Created especially for the savvy cosmetic patient.

Bellafill may be right for you if you are a patient who has enjoyed your cosmetic outcome from dermal filler treatment in the past, but you want a longer-lasting result.

Dermal fillers such as Juvederm, Restylane, Radiesse, and Sculptra can achieve beautiful results for patients seeking facial rejuvenation, but the results are temporary. Typically, these popular fillers last from six to 18 months, depending on the product your provider uses and how quickly your body metabolizes the medicine. Bellafill, on the other hand, is proven to last up to five years.

In this video, Dr. Clevens explains which areas can be treated with Bellafill.

Bellafill Benefits

The longest-lasting injectable filler treatment.

Bellafill is a collagen-based filler that contains PMMA microspheres (polymethyl methacrylate). This revolutionary dermal filler instantly restores volume and smooths lines and wrinkles to reverse the signs of aging. After the treatment is performed, the microspheres create a foundation for your skin to regenerate its own natural collagen over time for long-lasting results that are visible for at least five years.

For facial rejuvenation, Bellafill can be used to treat and minimize the smile lines around the mouth, nasolabial folds, as well as the marionette lines. Bellafill also can be used to add volume to plump cheeks or areas of the face that appear sunken. Finally, Bellafill filler can improve the appearance of acne scars.

The Bellafill Procedure

Quick and easy treatment. Long-lasting results.

The Bellafill procedure is performed much in the same way as other dermal filler treatments. After a comprehensive full-face assessment and discussion with you about your cosmetic goals, our skilled facial plastic surgery specialists will place Bellafill in areas to reverse the signs of aging based on your custom treatment plan. Prior to your Bellafill treatment, you will be asked to participate in a skin test to ensure the product is safe for you and that you do not experience any hypersensitivity to the product. Bellafill works by helping your body rebuild its own natural collagen over time.

Importantly, because Bellafill results are semi-permanent, you should seek out an experienced and skilled master injector who is a facial plastic surgery specialist to perform your treatment for best results.

Recovery After Bellafill

Zero downtime. Semi-permanent outcomes.

Like other cosmetic injectable procedures, treatment with Bellafill: The 5-Year Filler requires little to no downtime. In most cases, patients will be able to resume their normal activities immediately, including going back to work or engaging in more strenuous activities such as intense exercise.

Although rare, several side effects are possible with the use of Bellafill, including redness, itching, bruising, swelling, and tenderness. Less commonly, patients may experience a rash, lumps, or sensitivity at the injection sites.

Again, choosing a provider you can trust, such our experienced Facial Plastic Surgery Specialists Dr. Ross Clevens and Dr. Renata Khelemsky, is key to ensuring you get results you love.

Bellafill FAQs

What Is Bellafill?

Bellafill is a nonsurgical cosmetic procedure that rejuvenates the face. The procedure takes just minutes in the office, and involves gentle injections to restore volume to the cheeks or smooth away lines and wrinkles such as the nasolabial folds, commonly known as “smile lines.” Bellafill results are immediate and long-lasting with no surgery and no downtime. Additionally, Bellafill is the only available dermal filler deemed effective and safe for the treatment of acne scars.

How Does Bellafill Work?

Approved by the FDA as a result of a five-year study of more than 1000 patient participants, Bellafill features polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) microspheres. PMMA has been one of the most widely used materials in medicine for the past 65 years. Bellafill helps to regenerate your skin’s own collagen structure, creating a firmer, more youthful facial appearance. The product is composed of a local anesthetic lidocaine and microsphere-enhanced natural collagen gel. Over time, the collagen is absorbed by the body, while the microspheres create a matrix that supports production of your body’s own collagen, resulting in lasting correction for at least five years. Prior to use of the product, patients undergo a simple allergy skin test to ensure your comfort and safety.

Who is a Good Candidate for Bellafill Treatment?

The best candidates for Bellafill are savvy cosmetic patients who have enjoyed prior dermal filler treatment and who wish for a more long-lasting result. Additionally, for correction of facial acne scars, patients should be at least 21 years of age at the time of the procedure.

How Long Does Bellafill Last?

Bellafill results are immediate and proven to last at least five years. Unlike other types of dermal fillers that require treatments to be repeated again every six to 18 months, Bellafill is a semi-permanent filler. For this reason, patients should be careful to choose a provider who is a skilled and experienced master injector with extensive knowledge of facial anatomy, such as our facial plastic surgery specialists at Clevens Face and Body Specialists based in Melbourne and Merritt Island, Florida.

How Long Does The Bellafill Procedure Take?

Bellafill is a nonsurgical procedure that can be performed in the office. The treatment takes approximately 15-30 minutes and has no downtime.

Where is a Bellafill Treatment Performed?

Our Master Injectors and Facial Plastic Surgery Specialists perform Bellafill treatment in-office. Clevens Face and Body Specialists has two convenient locations in Melbourne and Merritt Island, Florida.

What Is The Dosage For Bellafill?

The dosage of Bellafill used during the cosmetic procedure varies. At Clevens Face and Body Specialists, you and your provider develop a treatment plan together based on your goals. Dosage requirements for acne scars may vary. Your doctor will decide what dosage amount is appropriate in light of your unique condition.

We offer complimentary consultations with our specialists so you can learn more about Bellafill and get a customized treatment plan created just for you.

Are Bellafill Injections Painful?

Bellafill contains an anesthetic called lidocaine to optimize your comfort throughout the procedure. For your added comfort, our providers may use numbing medicine in the area that will be treated with a local anesthetic agent. Providers often administer Bellafill treatment using a cannula device to prevent bruising and to minimize or reduce any discomfort. At Clevens Face and Body Specialists, we also offer Clevens Comfort+ to ease anxiety and discomfort for patients during their injectable treatments including Bellafill.

Who Should Avoid The Use Of Bellafill?

Bellafill should be avoided by individuals who have:

  • a positive reaction to the allergy skin test
  • an allergy to lidocaine, the anesthetic found in Bellafill
  • a history of anaphylaxis, hypersensitivity, or severe allergies
  • allergies to any of the bovine collagen products
  • a tendency towards hypertrophic scars (thick scar formation)
  • a tendency towards keloid scars (excessive scar formations)
  • planned or current desensitization to products containing meat

Bellafill should also not be used for augmentation of the lips.

How Much Does Bellafill Cost?

The price of Bellafill dermal filler treatment varies based on the provider's training and experience, as well as the amount of Bellafill used during the procedure. Typically, Bellafill treatment ranges from $1250 to $4950.
