Why a Breast Lift?

Give your breasts a more youthful look.

Clevens Face and Body Specialists offers youth-restoring breast lift surgery for patients in Melbourne, FL. A breast lift, or mastopexy, is a surgical procedure that raises and reshapes sagging breasts with a patient’s breast tissue. The only way to correct sagging skin is with surgery. A breast lift can improve sagging or misshapen breasts and give you the ability to change the shape and location of your nipples. The difference between a breast lift and breast augmentation is that an augmentation focuses on volume and projection, while a breast lift focuses on eliminating sagging and loose breast tissue. Schedule your consultation!

Is A Breast Lift Right for Me?

An aesthetic surgery for added lift.

If you’re not happy with the look and feel of your sagging breasts after weight loss, nursing, pregnancy, or aging, a breast lift might be the perfect option to boost your confidence. A breast lift does not require implants, but some women prefer to complement a breast lift with breast augmentation to enhance the natural appearance of youthful breasts further.

Most patients have a nice amount of breast volume but are not happy with the look of their breasts. The best way to determine if a breast lift is right for you is to consult with our breast lift doctors and plastic surgery specialists.

Breast Lift Procedure

Finding the breast lift technique that is right for you.

Our Florida plastic surgery specialists perform breast lift surgery under general anesthesia. We provide multiple techniques to perform a breast lift. If you’re experiencing mild breast sagging, we can perform a less invasive breast lift surgery. If you have severe breast sagging, we’ll perform a more invasive technique to lift your breasts for a natural look.

We work to minimize incision lines to create the shortest scar possible and improve the shape of your breasts. We’ll remove any excess skin during the procedure and place the nipple higher up on the breast to create a more youthful appearance.

Sutures may be placed in the deep tissue to offer more support. Many women combine breast lift surgery with breast augmentation.

Breast Lift Recovery

Return home on the same day as the surgery.

You’ll be able to return home the same day as your breast lift surgery. We’ll support your breasts and tissues with a wrap following surgery. Your new natural breast shape becomes more visible as post-surgery fullness subsides over the next few weeks. We recommend recovering at home for about four days before resuming everyday activities. Six weeks after your surgery, you can resume physical activities and heavy lifting.

BREAST LIFT FAQ

How long does a breast lift last?

Modern techniques mean women can enjoy long-lasting results after a breast lift. However, while future aging and sagging cannot be prevented by a lift, maintaining a stable weight and healthy lifestyle can help prolong the results of your mastopexy surgery.

Will the lift make my breast smaller?

No. Your breasts will be the same size, just reshaped.

Should I wait until I finish losing weight before getting a breast lift?

A breast lift is not a weight loss procedure and patients should be at a stable weight. It is understandable that you will want to get the lift as soon as possible once you have lost a lot of weight. However, if you have not finished your weight loss goals, it is better to wait to have your breast lift so the results are not compromised by further weight loss.

Are there non-surgical alternatives to breast lift?

While numerous creams and other products claim to be able to lift breasts or make skin tighter and raised, this is not true. Unfortunately, once skin has sagged, the only way to solve the problem is surgery.

Will I always have scars after a mastopexy?

Yes. As unfortunate as it seems, scars will never entirely go away. For many patients though, the scars from a breast lift procedure become so unobtrusive that they are next to invisible, and post-operative scar management can aid in achieving the least scarring possible. Our breast and body specialists at Clevens Face and Body Specialists in Brevard County, Florida will discuss scar placement with you during your consultation and always places incisions as inconspicuously as possible.

How much is a breast lift?

The cost of a breast lift or mastopexy, like other cosmetic surgery procedures, will vary depending on the experience and training of your surgeon and where the procedure will take place.

At our plastic surgery practice in Melbourne, Florida, our experienced board certified plastic surgeon has performed breast surgery procedures including breast lift for more than 20 years. In addition, patients can take comfort in knowing their breast lift will be performed in a fully accredited outpatient surgery center that meets all the same stringent safety criteria as a hospital. At our practice, a breast lift costs $9,000 to $16,000 and is often combined with other body contouring procedures for optimal results.

What Our Patients Say

Hear from one of our breast lift patients.

“Amazing results! I asked Clevens Face and Body Specialists, as they were marking my breasts prior to surgery, if I would look like I did when I was 16. I think I look better! They listened and have a great staff. I recommend them to family and friends.”
