Smooth Away Facial Lines and Wrinkles with Dermal Fillers:
Facial lines and wrinkles result from wear and tear of the natural collagen support layer that supports your skin. Dr. Clevens offers non-surgical solutions that rebuild your skin’s natural support layer.
The Center for Facial Cosmetic Surgery employs several soft tissue fillers including Perlane, Restylane, Belotero, Radiesse and Juvederm. Each of these injectable materials smoothes facial folds, fine lines and wrinkles.
We use Injectable Dermal Fillers to improve the following:
- Fine lines around the lips, mouth, nose and forehead
- Smoothing wrinkles, lines and folds
- Shaping facial contours such as the cheeks and jawline
- Restoring volume and fullness to the skin
- Sculpting thin lips and adding fullness
- Redefining lip border
- Filling in lip lines (also known as ‘smoker’s lines)
- Correct the hollows around the eyes
- Softening acne scars
- Improve facial depressions
While there are many injectable fillers on the market today, we use only FDA-approved products that have demonstrated predictable results, as well as minimal bruising, swelling and redness after treatment.
Is composed of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found throughout the body. Restylane is used to treat the finer lines and wrinkles, and is often selected for lips, lip lines, and first-time or younger patients. Restylane may improve the moisture content of the skin as well.
is used on the more pronounced facial folds and wrinkles, such as those on the sides of the mouth. It is also popular filler for deeper lines, facial depressions, and facial scarring. It can be used in both men and women. The major difference is that Perlane is a larger molecule than Restylane, because it contains more hyaluronic acid molecules. This means that Perlane can easily fill in deep skin wrinkles, scars, and creases better than Restylane.
Are used to soften the appearance of facial lines and wrinkles, add plumpness to the lips, and help you maintain a more youthful appearance overall. Juvéderm is manufactured using HYLACROSS™ technology, creating a smooth-consistency gel. It is infused with lidocaine to improve comfort during treatment. Juvederm can be used on smile lines (parenthesis), marionette lines (puppet lines), and vertical lip lines.
Lip fillers have unique properties that allow it to adapt within the skin for soft and even correction. The versatility of the product makes it strong enough to handle deep treatment areas such as nasolabial folds (smile lines around the mouth), yet soft enough to treat more delicate areas such as vertical lip lines (thin lines that appear above the lip line). Like other lip fillers, BELOTERO allows immediate and smooth correction.
Contains calcium-based microspheres that upon injection immediately provide the volume and lift needed to diminish signs of aging. This filler acts as a scaffold under the skin, providing structure and stimulating your own natural collagen to grow. This process continues for several months, which extends the initial effect of the filler. Radiesse provides lasting correction for 18 months to three years, and works with your body to stimulate collagen production. Radiesse is often used to reshape the nose for a non-surgical nose-ob, or on the back of hands for an immediate ‘hand lift”.
When deciding between Perlane, Restylane, Belotero, Radiesse and Juvederm, we recommend scheduling a consultation to see which is right for you. Our team carefully takes into consideration the area that is treated (frown lines, folds, lips, cheeks, etc.), duration of results, the expected final result, and the overall desired final look. We understand the differences between these three products and successfully match them to individual patients.
Dermal Fillers FAQs
How do these products work?
The hyaluronic acid in Injectable Dermal Fillers augments the body’s natural supply, which has become depleted with age. These products are not a permanent and are broken down in the body. A Dermal Filler correction can remain for about six to twelve months after injection, depending on the product used. This is a much longer period than any of the currently available temporary dermal fillers.
Can Injectable Dermal Fillers be used with other products?
Yes, we can combine your injectable treatment with other surgical or non-surgical treatments such as Botox and lasers.
What Areas of the Face Can Be Treated with Dermal Fillers?
Dr. Ross A. Clevens is uniquely skilled at performing Perlane injections to improve the contour of facial skin, decrease unsightly wrinkles, and reduce fine lines around the nose, folds, scars, and other facial skin depressions.
When can one see the effects of Injectable Lip Fillers?
The benefits of these treatments are immediate and usually remain for six to twelve months. Areas around the lips and chin where there is repetitive movement may require more frequent touch-up, every four to six months, whereas other areas of the face may remain wrinkle free for six to twelve months.
Does one need additional treatments?
Most individuals will require a repeat session once a year.
