Addressing Unwanted Fat Cells

Kybella is an innovative and FDA-approved injectable treatment made with a synthetic form of the substance known as deoxycholic acid. Your body naturally produces this acid, which breaks down fat cells. When it’s used under your chin, it eliminates the presence of these fat cells so your body can safely flush away the unwanted fat.

CoolSculpting ELITE, on the other hand, destroys fat cells by freezing them, while SculpSure utilizes thermal energy to break down fat and tighten skin. Together, these treatments represent our commitment to the most advanced technology available, and the impressive results we can achieve. When we design your treatment plan, we’ll determine which technology is the best fit to create results that are directly in line with your cosmetic aspirations.

The Benefits of Double Chin Reduction

Kybella, CoolSculpting ELITE, and SculpSure all use different methods for permanently eliminating unwanted fat from the treatment area. While you may need more than one treatment to achieve your ideal results, you won’t need additional treatments once you’ve achieved the look you want.

As the fatty tissue under your chin dissolves, the contour of your chin will improve over time. Many patients notice changes in their profile after the first treatment, and you can expect to see your final results a few weeks after your last session.

Your Informative Consultation

The best way to know whether Kybella, CoolSculpting ELITE, SculpSure, or a combination of treatments is right for you is to meet with our team in consultation at our Melbourne or Merritt Island, FL offices. Our team is home to a series of passionate experts who will get to know your cosmetic goals and help you explore all your options while recommending treatments that will offer you the best possible outcome.

During your consultation, we’ll isolate the treatment or combination of treatments that are right for you, before explaining what you can expect once they’re complete. We’ll work to ensure that you have realistic expectations for your outcome, and we will guide you through the recovery and aftercare process so you can effectively maintain your exciting results.

Finally, we’ll go over pricing and financing options, before connecting you with our support team to help get everything scheduled. We’ll schedule your procedure, while also addressing any concerns you might have. Our goal is to see you enjoying total peace of mind as you get ready for your treatment.

How Kybella Creates Its Results

Kybella is an innovative injectable product from Allergan (the makers of BOTOX and Juvéderm), designed to reduce the presence of submental fatty tissue, also known as a “double chin.” Kybella is made from a naturally occurring substance known as deoxycholic acid, a chemical used by the body to break down unwanted fat. As the deoxycholic acid eliminates the fat cells, unwanted fat can then be safely eliminated by the body over time, revealing an improved contour and long-lasting results.

The Day of Your Double Chin Reduction Procedure

Your procedure will vary according to the specific treatments that we’ll use to create your results. Kybella and similar products are injected with the use of a very fine needle. While most patients do not need anesthesia, you may ask for a topical anesthetic.

With CoolSculpting Elite, you may feel a slightly cool sensation. All procedures take about 30 minutes or less to complete, with little to no downtime. Although you might need multiple sessions, each treatment is performed quickly in our office.

Many patients also opt to combine Kybella, CoolSculpting ELITE, and SculpSure with other treatments, such as BOTOX or dermal fillers, to simultaneously smooth fine facial lines or enhance the lips. During your consultation, we’ll outline the specifics of your treatment plan.

Recovery After Your Double Chin Reduction

Our patients love using Kybella, CoolSculpting ELITE, SculpSure, or a combination of treatments to address the presence of a double chin because there is little to no recovery time afterward. Even with minimally invasive procedures, there will be some activities you’ll need to avoid, like exercise. With these procedures, however, that’s simply not the case.

If you want to combine your double chin treatment with other cosmetic options, talk with your doctor about what kind of time you have for recovery, to ensure your ability to get right back to your activities. We’ll work with you to create a treatment plan that sees you enjoying your ideal results.

What Our Happy Patients Have to Say

Hear from one of our satisfied Kybella patients. To speak with patients who have undergone a similar treatment, be sure to ask us during your consultation.

“I appreciate Dr. Clevens and his modest approach to facial plastic surgery. If he truly feels you do not need it, or that a different procedure would be more beneficial he will talk to you about it. Most recently I went in looking to maybe get a neck lift. After our consultation I decided to give Kybella a try. I am 12 weeks out and am happy with the results. I love the easy and nonsurgical aspect of Kybella.” –B Hart, review on RealSelf
